On August 19, 2026, Ambassador Vikram K. Doraiswami met H.E. Sun Zhiyang, Mayor of Guangzhou, at the Guangzhou Municipal Government Office. During the meeting, Mayor Sun briefed Ambassador Doraiswami on Guangzhou’s economic landscape and its role in trade, cultural exchanges, and scientific innovation.
