Foreign Affairs Bureau of Yangjiang Leads Delegation to Visit the Consulate‑General of Poland in Guangzhou to Deepen Economic, Trade and Industrial Cooperation

On 9 October 2026, Zeng Chaoqun, Director‑General of the Foreign Affairs Bureau of Yangjiang, led a delegation to pay a visit to the Consulate‑General of the Republic of Poland in Guangzhou and held working talks with relevant consular officials. The two sides exchanged views on boosting pragmatic cooperation between Yangjiang and Poland in economic and trade investment as well as industrial matching. Representatives of key enterprises in Yangjiang attended the talks and gave product presentations.

曾超群局长向波方详细介绍了阳江市产业发展优势。他指出，阳江是中国"刀剪之都"，刀剪产量占全国75%，出口量占全国85%，阳江企业生产的刀剪产品质量媲美国际高端品牌，进入波兰市场已有很长的历史，广受当地消费者欢迎。在绿色能源装备领域，阳江生产的海上风力发电机组系统出口东南亚、欧洲国家，在成本、质量方面具有很大吸引力。曾超群局长向波方介绍了阳江近段时间将举办的经贸、文化活动，热情邀请波方组团到访阳江，共同探讨合作发展前景。

Director‑General Zeng Chaoqun gave a detailed briefing to the Polish side on Yangjiang’s industrial strengths. He pointed out that Yangjiang is known as “China’s Capital of Cutlery”. Its cutlery output accounts for 75 % of China’s total, and its export volume makes up 85 % of the national total. Cutlery products manufactured by Yangjiang enterprises are comparable in quality to top‑tier international brands. Having been present in the Polish market for a long time, these products enjoy wide popularity among local consumers. In the sector of green‑energy equipment, Yangjiang‑produced offshore wind turbine systems are exported to Southeast Asian and European countries, featuring strong competitiveness in terms of cost and quality. Director‑General Zeng Chaoqun informed the Polish side of upcoming economic, trade and cultural events in Yangjiang, and warmly invited the Polish side to send delegations to Yangjiang to explore prospects for cooperation and development.

会谈中，参会企业代表逐一介绍各企业产品特色、技术优势及出口现状。参会企业表示，目前阳江出口产品的质量广为被欧盟市场接受，出口包括波兰在内的东欧国家比重也日渐增加。波兰的GDP增长表现出色，消费市场逐年增长，阳江出口企业对波兰市场非常重视。参会企业天一刀具公司负责人说，公司专注高品质厨房刀具研发与生产，正计划在波兰设立海外仓，立足波兰辐射中东欧市场。

During the talks, representatives of participating enterprises introduced their respective product features, technological strengths and export performance one‑by‑one. The enterprises stated that Yangjiang’s export products are widely recognised for their quality across the European Union market, and their share of exports to Eastern European countries including Poland is on a steady rise. Poland has delivered robust GDP growth and a growing consumer market year‑on‑year, which is highly valued by Yangjiang’s export‑oriented enterprises. The person‑in‑charge of Tianyi Cutlery, one of the participating enterprises, noted that the company specialises in the R&D and production of high‑quality kitchen cutlery. It plans to set up an overseas warehouse in Poland to serve the Central‑Eastern European market based on its presence in Poland.

波兰领馆Olgierd（奥力德）副领事对曾超群局长一行到访表示欢迎，并介绍了波兰贸易投资促进政策及服务机制，设立于上海的波兰投资贸易局驻华办事处是在华贸易促进机构，为中国企业提供波兰的买家对接、仓储资源咨询、贸易机会查询等服务。建议阳江相关企业参加每年在波兰举办的国际贸易博览会，也可组织商务考察团赴波兰实地了解市场。他指出，波兰劳动力资源充足，未来几年智能制造和机器人产业需求预计逐步增长，沿海城市高度重视风电等绿色能源发展，与阳江相关产业合作潜力巨大。会后波兰领馆将撮合参会企业和波兰贸易促进机构的联系，为后续双方精准对接提供支持。

Deputy Consul Olgierd of the Consulate‑General of Poland extended a warm welcome to Director‑General Zeng Chaoqun and his delegation. He briefed the delegation on Poland’s policies and service mechanisms for trade and investment promotion. The China Office of the Polish Investment and Trade Agency, based in Shanghai, is a trade‑promotion body in China. It provides Chinese enterprises with services including buyer matching in Poland, consultation on warehousing resources and access to trade‑opportunity information. He suggested that relevant Yangjiang enterprises take part in international trade fairs held annually in Poland, and that business study tours be organised to Poland for on‑site market insights. He pointed out that Poland boasts abundant labour resources. Demand for smart manufacturing and robotics industries is expected to grow gradually in the coming years. Its coastal cities attach great importance to the development of green‑energy sectors such as wind power, which holds tremendous cooperation potential for relevant industries in Yangjiang. Following the meeting, the Polish Consulate‑General will facilitate connections between participating enterprises and Polish trade‑promotion bodies to support targeted bilateral matching going forward.

此次会谈是阳江市外事局深入推进"外事惠企"行动、助力企业开拓国际市场的具体举措。双方一致表示，将以此次会谈为契机，建立常态化沟通对接机制，推动阳江优势产业与波兰市场需求精准匹配，在刀剪制造、绿色能源、海外仓建设等领域深化合作，实现互利共赢。

This meeting represents a concrete measure taken by the Foreign Affairs Bureau of Yangjiang to further advance its “Foreign Affairs for Enterprises” initiative and support local enterprises in exploring international markets. Both sides agreed to take this meeting as an opportunity to establish a regular communication and matching mechanism. Efforts will be made to align Yangjiang’s competitive industries with market demands in Poland, deepen cooperation in cutlery manufacturing, green energy, overseas‑warehouse development and other fields, and deliver mutual benefit and win‑win outcomes.
